The system that’s behind Selfie2Anime.com is absolutely capable of producing beautiful anime-selfies, as shown in the numerous collages I have already posted on Twitter. Unfortunately, chances are very high that you have received an anime-selfie that is, well, let’s say it could have been better. In this post, we’ll have a look at what happens when things go wrong and how the quality could potentially be improved in the future.
On the 17th of August 2019 myself and Rico Beti hit the launch button selfie2anime.com. The week that followed was a whirl wind of good and bad experiences technical experiences with trying to scale. I wanted to write this blog to lay out some of my own experiences and point out a few pitfalls I had along the way.
