The system that’s behind Selfie2Anime.com is absolutely capable of producing beautiful anime-selfies, as shown in the numerous collages I have already posted on Twitter. Unfortunately, chances are very high that you have received an anime-selfie that is, well, let’s say it could have been better. In this post, we’ll have a look at what happens when things go wrong and how the quality could potentially be improved in the future.
When you first connect to Selfie2Anime.com with your mobile or desktop browser, you’ll be greeted by the web app that lets you take or choose your selfie and upload it to our web service, which will subsequently push them through the GAN and send the anime-selfie back to you. As the first point of contact, it makes sense to start here on our journey through the system.
Hey guys! We have decided to set up this blog to give a little bit more insight into the development, infrastructure, and progress of Selfie2Anime.com. We’ll be tackling the relevant topics from a more technical perspective, so if you’re into this kind of stuff like we are, be sure to let us know on Twitter @RicoBeti and @nathangloverAUS or in the comments down below and keep checking this blog every once in a while for more updates!
